Tokyo WOW! What a city! The fifth and last stop of the Chloé Nomade world tour. And the city with my favourite style (minimal with a twist) and extraordinary food haha.
_____
The first few days with Chloé I stayed at Trunk Hotel in Shibuya one of the hippest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Grab a drink at the bar and listen to the sound of the live DJ’s that change daily. The hotel is surrounded by cool shops and restaurants and in walking distance to the famous Shibuya crossing.
The days after the Chloé project I stayed at the Aman Tokyo hotel which has an incredible view over the city from the over 200m high corner suite. Book a table at their restaurant to dine with a view over Tokyo and if you are lucky you can even see Mt Fuji far away. All the Aman hotels are just another level! Interior, service, everything on point.
_____
I met Lauren, model, TV superstar and first of all illustrator at the super traditional restaurant GalaliI青山本店. After lunch we walked the narrow streets of Shibuya, grabbed a coffee at one of those cute little cafés and headed to to first shooting location the Yoyogi-Koen Park, one of Tokyos largest city parks. Make sure to go there during cherry blossom season!
After a traditional tea tasting at Sakurai in the afternoon we decided to call it a day.
The next day was all about the helicopter flight over Tokyo and delish lunch at Eatrip where Lauren told me all about her life in Tokyo.
I took the next days off to explore Tokyo before I had to leave this inspiring city.

Mija’s must visit Tokyo restaurants, bars & cafés: Cat Cafe Mocha, Chop Coffee, Streamer Coffee Company, Coffeehouse Nishiya, From Afar, Kuriya Kashi Kurogi, Kiki Harajuku, Park Hyatt bar (the view is insane – come a bit earlier and book a table near the windows in the restaurant if you wanna grab dinner first)
_____
_____
Mija’s must visit when in Tokyo: Ginza area for luxury shopping, Shibuya area for small shops, narrow streets, fashion stores, Purikura photo booth, Senso-ji temple, Meiji-temple, Tokyo Skytree, Ryoguku Sumo fight, Tokyo national museum, Shibuya crossing

_____
Travel tips: Don’t visit Tokyo between June and August. 34 degree celsius and over 85% humidity is no joke kiddos. Take taxis – Uber is more expensive and not very popular. If you have the chance take a train and visit the country side. You’ll need internet – buy a sim card at the airport or ask your provider for options.

Here we are, in the city that never sleeps – New York for the fourth stop of the Chloé Nomade world tour. This city is so full of energy and every time I’m leaving this city I’m full of new ideas and inspirations.
_____
I stayed at the newly opened, super stylish minimalism meets love for detail Made Hotel in Manhattan and slept like a baby. Try their roasted coconut chiapudding or honey granola with fruits for breakfast – it’s mouthwatering. Coffee at their bar is delish as well (not that bitter hipster brew).
The whole team headed for lunch to Jack’s Wife Freda where I met Charlotte from TheFashionguitar. We know each other since our very beginning in the biz, like 7 years and I followed her journey from being a successful online storyteller, fashion week hopper and mum to two adorable little nuggets. Same as me she moved to London and then to USA a while ago so we had a lot to talk about.
We spent the afternoon in Dumbo, strolled around the Hudson and had delish pasta at Charlie Bird in the evening to end the day.
The next day started quite late so more time for me to select and edit the pictures we took the day before. We went straight to Cafe Colette for lunch and had a really fun time exploring the city, Brooklyn and Soho to be exact, on vintage motorcycles. I guess you can see how much I love vintage engines haha.

Mija’s must visit NYC restaurants: Ludlow Coffee Supply for your daily dose of coffee, L’estudio for delish breakfast lunch and dinner, Lalito for mex-californian good vibes, Milk for the cookie monster, by Chloe for everything vegan,
_____
_____
Mija’s must visit when in NYC: MoMA (there is also a Brancusi exhibition atm), TheApartment by TheLine NY to shop interior and designer pieces, What Goes Around Comes Around for designer vintage pieces, Totokaelo for edgy designer pieces, Assembly NYC, Soho area for shopping in general

Cheers from London! Man how much I missed this city. I used to live here for around two years not long ago and I’ve missed the british charme a lot. And this is also the place where I met Shini from Park & Cube for the third stop of the Chloé Nomade world tour.
Shini in 3 words: Unique, inspiring, hilariously funny and to me one of the most talented visual storyteller out there but take a look
_____
Before we headed to the Pergola and Hill Gardens we grabbed some lunch at Lyle’s and spent some time at the British Library. It was boiling hot in the city (around 29°C) so the next day was all about cold drinks, shadow seeking and a teeny tiny avocado toast and turmeric lattes in the morning at Hoi Polloi. After a short stroll through Shoreditch and a couple of photos later we met Yvan from TheFacehunter at Duck & Waffle. Oh boy this dude travels a lot, has some stories to tell and also some exciting travel projects in the pipe. Check out his social handles! And if you want to see London from above Duck & Waffle is the place to be (open 24/7!).

And here we are – Berlin. Germanys capital city and the place I spent a lot of time in the last months and now I had the chance to meet lovely Sara Nuru, model, entrepreneur and one of the loveliest souls –  for the second stop of the Chloé Nomade world tour.
Berlin is one of the most multicultural and international cities I’ve lived in so far so be prepared for non typical German recommendations, activities and restaurants…
_____
Before I met Sara I made a pit stop at one of my faves Daluma for a coconut iced coffee. They also serve healthy dishes with a twist – just how I like it. The light and atmosphere there is just right up my alley.
My personal highlight was the boat tour on a vintage boat on the river Spree through Berlin. You guys probably know how much I’m into vintage cars, motorcycles and of course also boats – so this made my heart beat faster.
We had lunch at Neni, one of Berlins fusion kitchen restaurants with a breathtaking view over the zoo and Berlin and talked about Sara’s work in charity, life and growing up in a small town in Bavaria like me. Fun fact: Sara won Germanys Next Topmodel 2009.
We spent some time at C/O Berlin and visited the ‘Das Polaroid Projekt’ exhibition.
Dinner at Long March Canteen in Kreuzberg and their endless dumpling menu was more than delicious.
_____
 _____
Must visit restaurant:  Grill Royal if you are a meat lover, Café am Neuen See next to the zoo and a small lake – most beautiful place to have lunch or dinner on a summer day, Chipperfield Kantine for pure interior and a every day changing lunch menu, Superfoods for fresh made smoothies, Standard Pizza for neapolitan pizza with a twist, Grindhouse Burger for the ultimate burger and truffle fries, Distrikt Coffee for your daily dose of Avo on toast or Acai bowl + coffee is delish too, What Do You Fancy Love is perfect for a coffee date, Beets & Roots for healthy bowls, Neta for delish guac & tortilla chips and tacos, Yumcha Heroes if you are a dumpling lover, My Goodness for beetroot lattes and Acai bowls, Monbijou Strandbar next to the river Spree during the summertime for pizza to go, vino, swing and salsa music.

I arrived in Paris a few days ago with Chloé to kick off the Nomade world tour.
I will meet and portrait 5 inspiring ladies around the world in the next weeks and will take care of art direction, shootings in front and of course behind the camera.
It’s all about connecting with inspiring people, traveling, exploring vibrant cities and of course the new Chloé Nomade fragrance.
It couldn’t be a better fit as I live out of 5 suitcases since 10 months to travel the world and live an urban nomad life.
 _____
First stop Paris where I met the lovely Chloé from Loulou De Saison. She showed me her secret spots in the city she lives in. We strolled around the Seine, Bastille Area and Saint Germain, had lunch at Café de Flore that was all about resting our feet after the long walk through the city haha. Don’t get fooled by the salad – fries are a must in Paris. In the evening we met for dinner at the very traditional restaurant Chez George where we sat until midnight.
 _____
The next day Chloé invited me to lunch at Garden National which is a quite healthy and non typical parisian place what I loved since it’s the mix of everything that makes a city so interesting. We walked around Le Marais and forgot about time and landed at Atelier Brancusi – one of Chloé’s favourite places to relax and calm down what happens to be one of my favourite places in Paris as well.
 _____
One of the best parts was to visit the perfume lab where a team of perfumers and scientists created the Chloé Nomade fragrance.
Fun fact: It takes around 6 years to become a perfumer.
 _____
And of course I had to stop at one of my favourite places in Paris – Ob-La-Di Café but take a look at the pictures and get inspired…
